Cha Cha Cha Chia! (Did you notice the letter that was coincidentally (or not) assigned to the last pic? 🙂
UPDATE: Todd and I drove once more to City of Hope today for my weekly blood test, PICC dressing change, and check up with Dr. F. Because IHFATEOML – I Have Footballs At The Ends Of My Legs, Dr. F has lowered my dose of blood pressure meds in hopes of shrinking my feet from NFL sized footballs to jr. peewee size. I am taking blood pressure meds to control my elevated blood pressure, due to another med I’m taking. Under normal circumstances, I normally have abnormally low blood pressure, as a norm 🙂
I have enjoyed a couple of recent outings beyond the bubble: After last week’s COH appointments, Todd and I visited Mychaela at the Disney Studios, where she toured us around and took us to lunch. So much f-ing fun! Then last weekend, my mom, Mychaela and I sipped tea, British style, at Pelican Hill Resort. So civilized we were with our scones and Devonshire cream ~ a far, far, far cry from tea on the 6th floor of the hospital! Tomorrow night, I am going to get to see Todd’s family! It’s been soooooo long!
Our good friend, Dana Kent, is soon going to run the San Diego Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon in honor and memory of her father (who passed away from Leukemia when she was very young) and in honor of me! She is such a sweetie and I truly admire, respect and appreciate her commitment! Here is the link to her info page if you want to learn more or donate to help with research for these horrific diseases.
You are “FAMAZING”!!!!

We went to watch the Rock n Roll Marathon last year. Whitney’s boyfriend, Trey, ran it in her honor, and he did the Marathon in 4 hours 11 minutes. She is coming upon her 2nd year of remission, May 22, also her birthday. We are so Thankful for her health and I think of you and say prayers for you every day. I think of your mother too, and how painful it has to have been to have you so sick. But it is all looking so much brighter for you. Thank God you are headed in the right direction. What an honor to have your very good friend commit herself to this endeavor. Keep feeling better and better!!!

i am sure this journey has not necessarily included “delight” as a thought, but i can’t tell you how- well, maybe a better word is “enlightening” it is to receive your updates! i hope you know that when this is all over you are going to be so busy traveling to sign autographs of your new book “FCKNG AMAZING!” that you may need to save a few of your blue masks so people don’t recognize you!
you are a true testament to the power of humor in healing!

Joselyn: Whatever you do, Sweetheart, just keep up the happy results and the joy at being able to be freerer each day to get out there and live once again. I am so proud of you and I am thrilled you can enjoy the beautiful things you are describing here. So worrisome that here you are recovering from this most momenteous trial and your Dad is in so much pain and now he is struggling.. Life is for the tough ones to get through and he is tough and brave as you … He will pull through…but it is rare that LFPIII is down for long. Bless him and your Mom…. Love to Toady! Auntie C

I think the gold earrings were just the right statement to the new born baby bald head you got going on. YOU really were born again!! New blood marrow, new hair…Ok the bread dough feet are not so cool but even you can rock the Wilma Flintstone white shoe look! Embrace it, girl. If you can’t hide it …decorate it!!
